Former NFL Return Specialist Jeremy Bloom Visits SRC

Jeremy Bloom, one of the most celebrated freestyle skiers in United States history, stopped by Seniors' Resource Center on Jan. 25 to share information with staff about his Wish of a Lifetime Foundation. A standout on special teams for the University of Colorado football team and former member of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers, Bloom started his foundation in 2008 to grant wishes to low-income older adults.

Informational Session on Aging

Seniors' Resource Center hosted an Informational Session on Aging at the Colorado State Capitol on Thursday, Jan. 14 to highlight the cost benefits of Home and Community Based Services over Nursing homes. State representatives joined SRC board members and staff to listen to presentations by Jayla Sanchez-Warren, DRCOG Area Agency on Aging Director, John Zabawa, SRC President/CEO, and Dr. Stephen Krebs, President/CEO of Wheat Ridge Internal Medicine (WRIM).
