May features Older Americans Month; when the nation shows its commitment to honoring the values that elders contribute to our communities. The theme is “Unleash the Power of Age.”

In order to celebrate Older American's Month, the Jefferson County Commissioners' will be reading a Proclamation at 8:00 on May 7th at the Administration and Courts Facility located at 100 Jefferson County Pkwy Golden, CO 80419.

We encourage each and every one of you to attend the event and to support seniors in your community.

“Jefferson County will continue to outpace the rest of Colorado in supporting the aging community,” says CEO John Zabawa. “Our staff provided direct service to more than 21,000 individuals in 2012.”

At Seniors’ Resource Center, we celebrate our 35th Anniversary on June 12th. What we really celebrate, however, is the dignity and independence of Moms and Dads everywhere. Senior’s Resource Center and its services are designed to keep our loved ones in the neighborhoods they know with the family they love.
