Ways to Make a Difference Through Planned Giving
The Seniors' Resource Center promotes a future in which older
persons enjoy the advantages and privileges of age in the caring
company of friends and family. We secure tomorrow's vision today
by offering older persons information and services that help
them remain independent and in theirown homes.
Designating a gift in your will to Seniors' Resource Center,
Inc. will help to ensure that current and future generations of
older persons will receive the help and support they need to grow
old with dignity and honor.
A bequest through a will is the most common vehicle for giving
to your favorite charity. Your gift can take many forms including
cash, real estate, equipment, retirement benefits, securities
(stocks and bonds), trusts and memorial gifts.
Many people think that only the very wealthy or those without
close relatives leave money to charity. On the contrary, increasing
numbers of people of modest means are discovering that they can
give to their favorite charities and still provide generously
for dependents and close relatives. Including such a charitable
gift in your will may also be a tax or a financial benefit to
you and your heirs.
In 1998, an Endowment Fund was established to insure that our
services are available to support the independence of our growing
older adult population by the Seniors' Resource Center. The
fund is currently managed by the Denver and LMC Coummunity Foundations.
This is a perfect way to remember a loved one in perpetuity.

Life Insurance Gift
Some of our supporters no longer need their life insurance that
was purchased years ago to provide for children or other family
members. If that is your situation, please consider donating the
policy to the Seniors' Resource Center. You may claim a
charitable deduction for approximately the policy's cash surrender
value, and the proceeds are completely removed from your estate.

Retirement Plan Gift
Many individuals today have large qualified retirement plans such
as an IRA, 401(k), or Keogh plan. These assets have been growing
tax-free for years. Once the owner begins to receive payments from
the qualified plans, the distributions are taxed. The plans are
also included in the owner's taxable estate. A retirement plan
may be an excellent source of funds for making a gift to the Seniors'
Resource Center.
