Caregiving is hard, harder than most people expect. Plus, the responsibility comes without training and often without warning. Supporting caregivers is a big part of our mission to help people age at home. You can’t take care of someone else while ignoring your own needs.
Seniors’ Resource Center (SRC) is excited to be offering a series of caregiver support classes by Lori Lemasters with support from The Colorado Respite Coalition. Places like SRC’s Adult Day Center and people like Lori help caregivers find the balance and support they need. Caregivers can feel alone, burdened and, on top of all that, guilty for not doing everything perfectly. Getting help alleviates those feelings.
Classes happen every third Thursday of the month through May. You can read more about it here on The Denver Post’s YourHub or contact us for details at 303.238.8151 or info@SRCaging.org.
